www.deliverancexorcisms.com Phone: 301-732-3451 IA Hidden Bondage Affecting Many Christians: Across deliverance ministry, one of the most common—yet least understood—forms of demonic oppression is the spiritual spouse, sometimes referred to as incubus (male demon) or succubus (female demon). These spirits attempt to form an unholy, covenant-like attachment to a person, mimicking intimacy, jealousy, and a controlling relationship. While the Bible does not use the modern term “spiritual spouse,” the behaviors and manifestations are consistent with biblical teachings on demonic seduction, unholy covenants, and spiritual defilement (2 Corinthians 11:3; Hosea 4:12; 1 Corinthians 6:15–20). Their mission is simple: To corrupt purity, block godly relationships, and hinder spiritual growth. What Are Spiritual Spouses? A spiritual spouse is a demon that claims legal rights, ownership, or marriage-like covenant rights over a person. These rights are gained through open doors—sometimes through sin, trauma, or ancestral covenants. Common Legal Rights They Use:
How Spiritual Spouses Attack Believers 1. Sexual Dreams or Night Violations: People experience unwanted sexual encounters in dreams, sleep paralysis, or sensations of being touched. These experiences are spiritual in nature, not psychological fantasy. 2. Interference in Relationships and Marriage A spiritual spouse may cause:
Some feel watched, followed, or oppressed—especially when pursuing a romantic relationship or growing spiritually. 4. Physical Manifestations: These can include:
These demons hinder:
Biblical Foundations for Understanding Spiritual Spouses: Though the term is not explicitly used, Scripture supports the principles behind these demonic attacks. 1. Demonic Seduction “But I fear… your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” —2 Corinthians 11:3 Evil spirits can seduce, deceive, and attach themselves like spiritual lovers. 2. Unholy Covenants: “A spirit of prostitution leads them astray.” —Hosea 4:12 This scripture describes a spiritual entity drawing people into unholy intimacy. 3. Sexual Sin Creates Spiritual Bonds: “He who is joined to a harlot is one body with her.” —1 Corinthians 6:16 Sexual activity—physical or imagined—creates spiritual openings. 4. Demonic Night Attacks: “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night.” —Psalm 91:5 Nighttime spiritual oppression is real and biblically recognized. Why These Spirits Gain Such Strong Attachments: Sex was created by God as a covenant act, not merely physical. Because of this, the enemy counterfeits intimacy to form demonic covenants. Where God created:
Signs You May Be Dealing With a Spiritual Spouse: Common indicators include:
How Deliverance Breaks Spiritual Spouses: Freedom requires the authority of Jesus Christ and intentional steps of renunciation. 1. Renouncing Every CovenantUngodly agreements—voiced or unvoiced—must be broken in Jesus’ name. 2. Closing Sexual DoorwaysRepentance removes the legal rights demons rely on. 3. Breaking Generational CovenantsThese spirits often enter through ancestral witchcraft or sexual sin. 4. Casting Out the Spirit“In My name they shall cast out demons.” —Mark 16:17 The command of Jesus expels them. 5. Restoring Purity and Spiritual CoveringThe Holy Spirit fills the areas once held by darkness. A Deliverance Prayer Against Spiritual SpousesFather, in the name of Jesus, I renounce every covenant, vow, pact, or spiritual marriage made knowingly or unknowingly. I break every soul tie created through sexual sin, dreams, trauma, or ancestral covenants. I cancel every legal right claimed by incubus, succubus, or any spiritual spouse. I command these spirits to leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ. I declare that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I belong to Jesus alone, and every counterfeit relationship is broken. I receive freedom, cleansing, and restoration. In Jesus’ name—Amen. Freedom Is Possible: Spiritual spouses are real and destructive, but they are not stronger than Jesus Christ. Deliverance brings freedom, healing, and restoration to those who seek it. If you recognize these signs in your life or in others, do not remain silent. Seek a trusted deliverance minister and allow the Holy Spirit to break every unholy covenant.

In Scripture, few figures embody wickedness and spiritual corruption as clearly as Athaliah, the daughter of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel (2 Kings 11; 2 Chronicles 22–23). If Jezebel represents domination, seduction, manipulation, and spiritual corruption, then Athaliah represents the continuation of Jezebel’s agenda—especially aimed at destroying godly identity and future destiny.
Understanding the Athaliah spirit is essential for Christians, especially those engaged in spiritual warfare and deliverance ministry. This spirit operates subtly but with deadly intent: to cut off the next generation, silence spiritual authority, and destroy anything God is trying to build in your life. 1. Who Was Athaliah in the Bible? Athaliah was the daughter of Jezebel and Ahab, raised in an environment steeped in idolatry, witchcraft, and rebellion against God. After her son, King Ahaziah, died, Athaliah seized control of Judah by:
This story gives us insight into how the Athaliah spirit operates in the lives of believers today. 2. The Characteristics of the Athaliah Spirit Below are biblical patterns linked to Athaliah that reveal how this spirit manifests: A. Attacks God-Given Identity Athaliah attempted to kill every royal child. Today, this spirit tries to:
She targeted the next generation because she feared the rise of a godly king. This spirit:
Athaliah claimed a throne that was not hers. Likewise, this spirit:
Instead of celebrating others, this spirit destroys what threatens its control:
Athaliah removed the priestly influence from the kingdom. Today, this looks like:
3. How the Athaliah Spirit Attacks Christians Today The Athaliah spirit works strategically, targeting areas that connect to destiny and future impact. 1. ATTACKS ON YOUR CHILDREN & FAMILY Just as Athaliah targeted the royal children, this spirit:
This spirit attempts to “cut off” the work of God by:
It attempts to replace kingdom identity with:
Expect:
4. How to Overcome the Athaliah Spirit A. Stand Firm in Your Identity in Christ You must know:
Just as Jehoiada the priest restored order, spiritual authority provides:
C. Cancel Demonic Assignments Through Prayer Break legal rights with warfare prayers such as: “Every assignment of Athaliah against my destiny, my ministry, and my family is canceled in Jesus’ name!” D. Protect the “Next Generation” in Your Life This includes:
E. Destroy Any Influence of Jezebel The Athaliah spirit works in cooperation with the Jezebel spirit. When Jezebel’s influence is tolerated, Athaliah rises. Repentance, holiness, and deliverance break its power. 5. Final Thoughts The Athaliah spirit is a destiny-destroyer, a thief of identity, and an enemy of spiritual authority. But believers in Jesus Christ are not powerless. Just as Joash survived Athaliah’s murderous plans, God has preserved your purpose, your calling, and your legacy. Where the enemy tries to wipe out your destiny, God hides you, preserves you, and raises you up in due time. Athaliah could not stop the Davidic line. And the devil cannot stop the calling God has placed on your life. When the Modern World Meets the Supernatural: How Our Ministry Responds to Real Spiritual Battles12/1/2025 When the Modern World Meets the Supernatural: How Our Ministry Responds to Real Spiritual Battles
By Pastor Miguel Bustillos – The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry In recent years, mainstream media has taken renewed interest in the rise of people reporting encounters with the supernatural. The BBC recently highlighted a church-trained deliverance minister who investigates claims of demonic activity — a reminder that even in our modern world, many are facing spiritual problems that cannot be explained by science or psychology alone. The truth is simple: spiritual warfare is real, and people are suffering. And this is exactly where our ministry steps in. A Growing Need for Deliverance in Today’s Society: Like the minister featured in the BBC article, I regularly receive messages from individuals who are experiencing:
Many come to us after doctors, therapists, and secular counseling fail to identify the root cause of their suffering. When the natural route fails, the spiritual cause must be addressed. Deliverance Ministry: A Biblical Solution to a Spiritual Problem: At The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry, we approach each case with prayer, discernment, and biblical authority. Our work is not sensational or dramatic — it is pastoral, structured, and centered on Jesus Christ. Here’s how we help: 1. Deliverance Sessions: We identify and break legal rights, command demons to leave, and minister healing through the power of the Holy Spirit. 2. Inner Healing: Many spiritual issues are rooted in trauma, soul wounds, emotional abuse, and long-term spiritual oppression. We address both the wound and the spirit attached to it. 3. Spiritual Counseling: People often need direction, clarity, and biblical guidance after years of confusion or fear. 4. Ministry Training & Education: Through our Deliverance Ministry School, we provide live online courses, self-deliverance material, and internships for those called to help others. This ensures accountability, biblical grounding, and proper training — much like the structured approach highlighted in the BBC article. Why This Work Matters: The BBC piece showed that even traditional churches acknowledge the need to confront the demonic. Demonic oppression is not a medieval myth — it is a current spiritual reality. Our ministry exists because:
If You Need Help — You’re Not Alone: Whether you are dealing with personal oppression, unusual spiritual activity, curses, or long-term torment, we are here to help you find freedom and peace through the power of Jesus Christ. By Pastor Miguel Bustillos – Deliverance Minister & Exorcist When people think of prophets, they often imagine men and women who walk in extraordinary anointing—individuals who hear God clearly, operate in revelation, and carry great authority in the Spirit. Yet the Bible teaches us an important truth: a high calling does not exempt anyone from spiritual warfare. In fact, the enemy often targets prophets more intensely because of the influence they carry. This is why prophets need deliverance too. Not because they are weak—but because they are human, and their assignment places them on the front lines of spiritual conflict. 1. Prophets Are Spiritually Sensitive — But Sensitivity Can Become a Burden Prophets are spiritually sensitive by design. They perceive, discern, and feel things in the unseen realm. This sensitivity is a gift, but it can also become an open door to:
Deliverance restores balance, clarity, and strength. 2. Prophets Often Walk Into Situations With Hidden Demonic Assignments Because prophets confront darkness, the enemy assigns targeted attacks against them:
A Real Story From My ministry some years ago, I was called to pray for a woman who was struggling with severe spiritual oppression. As soon as I walked into the room, the Holy Spirit revealed the presence of a Jezebel spirit operating in her life. But as I continued ministering, the Lord showed me something deeper: her husband was also under demonic influence. I looked at him gently and said, “Brother, you also need deliverance. Jezebel has influenced both of you.” The moment I said that, he became upset. He lifted his chin and replied with confidence: “That cannot be. I am a prophet.” He was gifted. He could prophesy. The gift was genuine. But the shocking truth was this: Despite claiming to be a prophet, he could not discern that his own wife was demonized by Jezebel. He could not see that the same spirit had influenced him as well. The prophetic gift was functioning—but his discernment was compromised. And this is what many people misunderstand: A gift can still operate even when the vessel needs deliverance. Being a prophet does not mean a person is immune to demonic deception. It only means the enemy works harder to blind them. This man was offended at the idea of needing deliverance. But the truth remains: an unhealed vessel can carry an active gift and still be vulnerable to the enemy. 3. The Anointing Does Not Replace Inner Healing A prophetic calling does not automatically fix:
The enemy often marks prophetic people early in life with trauma, abandonment, or emotional pain—trying to break them before they walk into their calling. Deliverance sets prophets free from the wounds that the anointing alone does not heal. 4. Biblical Prophets Needed Deliverance Scripture reveals that even the greatest prophetic voices battled spiritual bondage: David : Constantly cried out for deliverance from spiritual enemies. (Psalm 59:1) Jeremiah: Struggled with despair and oppression. Elijah: Battled fear and intimidation from Jezebel. Jonah: Wrestled with rebellion, anger, and bitterness. If biblical prophets needed deliverance, then modern-day prophets should not be ashamed to seek it. 5. Deliverance Protects the Accuracy of the Prophetic Flow When a prophet carries unhealed wounds or demonic interference, it can distort their prophetic flow:
The man in my story had a true prophetic gift—but the Jezebel spirit blinded him to the spiritual condition in his own home. Gifting is not the same as freedom. Calling is not the same as purity. And prophecy is not the same as discernment. 6. No One Outgrows Deliverance Deliverance is not for the spiritually weak-- it is for the spiritually responsible. Paul writes: “I discipline my body and bring it into subjection.” — 1 Corinthians 9:27 Every believer—prophet, pastor, or layperson—must continually examine their heart and walk in freedom. Prophets especially must remain free so they can:
Prophets Need Deliverance to Stay Sharp Prophets are not exempt from spiritual battles—they are targeted by them. Deliverance keeps the prophetic vessel:
This is why even prophets must seek deliverance continually. Need Deliverance or Inner Healing? www.deliverancexorcisms.com In recent months, you might have noticed children and teens repeating the numbers 6-7, as though it were some inside joke or viral challenge. What appears to be harmless fun or mindless repetition is, in fact, a subtle indicator of something far more serious. What’s the “6-7” trend all about? The shorthand “6-7” has spread across social platforms so rapidly that it has even been dubbed a “word of the year.” On the surface, kids say it “doesn’t mean anything”—it’s just something adults are excluded from. Yet, beneath that innocuous front lies a troubling origin story. The trend is widely believed to have originated from the song “Doot Doot” by rapper Skrilla. But Skrilla is not just any artist—he has openly expressed involvement in the occult. For example, he has declared, “I’m a Santo … I do Palo… all that sacrifice goats… that’s just real life.” He even admitted, “I sacrificed goats, chickens, mice… I’m not allowed to explain it.” (Charisma Magazine Online) He has also discussed the West African-derived Yoruba religion and claiming the ability to “put bad spirits” on a person. (Charisma Magazine Online) Why it matters—and why we need to care What appears playful or mysterious to younger audiences is, in fact, a subtle doorway to spiritual influence. That repetition of “6-7” is not just a harmless trend—it is a vector of demonic exposure that normalizes engagement with occult practices and spiritual forces. (Charisma Magazine Online) We live in a culture bombarded by media, digital platforms, and trends that target younger generations with messages far deeper than they appear. From a spiritual-warfare perspective, this is a stark reminder: the enemy isn’t always loud or obvious—sometimes he lurks behind two simple numbers, disguised as a game. Discernment: The Christian response As believers, we cannot afford to dismiss these trends as trivial. Our responsibility is to watch, pray, and intercede for the next generation. Here are some practical spiritual responses:
The “6-7” phenomenon is more than just a TikTok hashtag or meme—it is a spiritual dynamics at play. For those of us serving in deliverance and inner-healing ministries, it underscores the urgency of equipping the Church, especially young people, to stand firm in truth, to recognize camouflage, and to live out the authority that Jesus has given us. Let this serve as a call—to parents, youth-workers, mentors, and ministers—to engage unflinchingly in the spiritual realities of our day. Let us cover the children under our care with the blood of Jesus, equip them with the armor of God, and wage war on the unseen strongholds that operate beneath the surface of trends. Senior Pastor, The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry www.deliverancexorcisms.com From the beginning of creation, Satan has sought to enslave humanity through lies. In the Garden of Eden, he didn’t use force—he used deception. His first attack was not physical but spiritual, questioning the truth of God’s Word: “Did God really say…?” (Genesis 3:1). That same strategy is alive today. Every believer faces the daily choice: Will I believe the truth of God’s Word, or the lies of the devil? 1. The Battle for the Mind: The real war between good and evil happens in the mind. The enemy knows that whoever controls your thoughts controls your destiny. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Truth brings freedom; lies bring bondage. When you believe lies like “I’m worthless,” “God has abandoned me,” or “My sin is too great,” you give the devil power over your emotions and decisions. But when you stand on God’s truth--“I am loved” (Romans 8:38–39), “I am chosen” (1 Peter 2:9), “I am forgiven” (1 John 1:9)—you break the chains of deception and step into liberty. 2. Truth Exposes Darkness: Satan’s kingdom thrives in secrecy and confusion. But the Word of God shines light on every lie. Jesus called Satan “the father of lies” (John 8:44), while declaring Himself “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). When Jesus faced Satan in the wilderness, He didn’t debate—He declared: “It is written…” (Matthew 4:4). Each time, the truth of Scripture shattered the devil’s temptation. Likewise, when you speak God’s Word with faith, you drive out darkness and silence the voice of the accuser. 3. The Truth Brings Deliverance: Deliverance begins with believing God. Satan loses power when a believer replaces lies with divine truth. If the enemy says, “You will never change,” God says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). If he says, “You’re defeated,” the Word says, “We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). If he says, “You’re alone,” the truth says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Every lie broken by Scripture weakens Satan’s grasp, bringing you closer to the freedom Jesus purchased at the Cross. 4. Living in Daily Freedom: Freedom is not a one-time event; it’s a daily walk with the truth. Renew your mind through Scripture (Romans 12:2). Fill your heart with worship, prayer, and thanksgiving. The more you know God’s Word, the harder it becomes for the enemy to deceive you. Those who live by truth walk in spiritual authority and peace. Lies enslave, but truth liberates. Choose to walk in the light and watch the enemy lose his hold over your life. Believing the truth of the Bible over the lies of Satan is the path to true deliverance. The Word of God exposes deception, renews your mind, and restores your authority in Christ. As Jesus said, “If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). Freedom is found in knowing, believing, and declaring the truth. Choose truth. Choose freedom. Choose Christ. WARNING TO THE WORLD:
Each year, thousands gather at the Defqon.1 Festival, a massive electronic dance event celebrated for its loud music, spectacular visuals, and elaborate stage designs. However, behind the flashing lights and rhythmic beats lies something far more spiritual and deeply concerning — the glorification of false gods and demonic imagery. As believers, we are warned in Scripture not to be deceived by appearances. What the world calls “art,” “culture,” or “entertainment” often carries hidden spiritual meanings that oppose God’s truth. The Bible says, “You shall have no other gods before Me” (Exodus 20:3). Yet, festivals like Defqon.1 openly glorify idols that resemble demonic entities and ancient pagan deities. The Stage: Altars to False Gods: At first glance, the stages of Defqon.1 may seem like creative art installations. But a closer look reveals massive statues resembling ancient gods or demonic warriors, surrounded by fire, smoke, and symbols of worship. The central figure often sits upon a throne, elevated above the crowd — just as ancient idols were placed on altars to be venerated. This is not accidental. The festival’s designers purposely use Aztec, Mayan, and Babylonian-inspired imagery, known for their associations with blood sacrifice and sun worship. The fire erupting from the stage, the synchronized chants, and the ecstatic dancing of the crowd mirror pagan rituals once performed to honor gods of fertility, war, and destruction. The prophet Jeremiah warned Israel against similar practices: “Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens... For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold...” — Jeremiah 10:2–4 The Music: Frequencies That Invite Spiritual Darkness: Music is a powerful spiritual instrument. Lucifer himself was created with musical instruments embedded within him (Ezekiel 28:13). Today, the enemy still uses sound to influence and manipulate souls. The relentless beats and hypnotic rhythms of the festival are designed to alter consciousness, opening participants to spiritual influence. When combined with flashing lights, chants, and collective euphoria, the event becomes a form of worship — not to God, but to spiritual forces that rebel against Him. The Apostle Paul warned us: “The things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.” — 1 Corinthians 10:20 The Spirit Behind the Festival: The spirit behind Defqon.1 is not one of joy or unity, as it claims, but one of rebellion. It promotes self-exaltation, sensuality, and loss of control, all of which are opposite to the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). Participants may not realize it, but they are entering into a counterfeit worship experience—one that mirrors the worship of God, but gives glory to the enemy. The use of idolic imagery, ritualistic fire, and trance-like music is no coincidence. It serves to desensitize the masses and normalize pagan worship under the guise of entertainment. This fulfills the prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4, which warns that in the last days many will turn away from truth and embrace lawlessness, worshiping what is not God. Spiritual Consequences: Participation in events that glorify idols can open spiritual doors. Many attendees leave such festivals feeling emotionally drained, spiritually oppressed, or even tormented, without realizing why. Exposure to demonic imagery and participation in false worship can invite spiritual attachments that hinder one’s relationship with God. Deliverance ministers often encounter individuals who have unknowingly come under demonic influence after attending occultic music festivals. These experiences can result in nightmares, anxiety, addiction, and other forms of spiritual bondage. The Lord calls His people to come out from among them: “Therefore, come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” — 2 Corinthians 6:17 The Call to Holiness: As followers of Jesus Christ, we must be vigilant. The world will continue to glorify what is evil and call it art. But the Word of God is clear: “What fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” — 2 Corinthians 6:14 Our role is not to condemn the people attending these events, but to pray for their deliverance and salvation. They are seeking fulfillment, but only Jesus Christ can truly satisfy the longing in their hearts. We must shine the light of truth in the midst of darkness and expose the spiritual deception of the enemy. Defqon.1 is more than just a music festival — it is a modern altar to false gods. What is presented as entertainment is in reality a global ritual of idolatry, promoting rebellion against God through art, music, and collective emotional worship. Let us remain steadfast in faith, discerning in spirit, and grounded in the Word of God. Remember the warning of Deuteronomy 12:30–31: “Be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.’ You must not worship the Lord your God in their way.” Written by: Pastor Miguel Bustillos Deliverance Minister & Exorcist The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry 📞 301-732-3451 | 🌐 www.deliverancexorcisms.com One of the most powerful promises in Scripture is found in 1 John 5:18:
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” This verse teaches us something vital about living a victorious Christian life: when we guard ourselves in Christ, the devil has no legal right to touch us. What Does It Mean to “Keep Yourself”? The phrase “keeps himself” refers to guarding our spiritual life. Just as you would lock the doors of your house at night to protect your family, believers are called to guard their hearts and minds.
Why Can’t the Devil Touch You? John says clearly: “the wicked one does not touch him.” This does not mean Satan won’t tempt, whisper lies, or attempt to attack. But it does mean that he cannot overpower or control the believer who remains faithful.
How Do We Apply This Daily?
The devil may threaten, but he cannot touch the believer who guards himself in Christ. Walk in holiness, remain watchful, and put on the armor of God. As you do, you’ll discover the truth of God’s promise: when you guard yourself, the enemy cannot lay hold of you. “The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:3 📞 Contact Pastor Miguel Bustillos The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry 📍 33 West Franklin Street, Suite 202, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740 📬 PO Box 1691, Frederick, Maryland 21702 🌐 www.deliverancexorcisms.com 📧 [email protected] 📞 301-732-3451 Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry Church Statement on the Assassination of Charlie Kirk9/21/2025 Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry Church Statement on the Assassination of Charlie Kirk
September 21, 2025 With heavy hearts, we at The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry Church express our profound sorrow and shock at the assassination of Charlie Kirk. This tragic act of violence is utterly reprehensible and stands in direct opposition to the teachings of Christ, who calls us to love our neighbors, seek justice, and pursue peace. We extend our deepest condolences to Charlie Kirk’s family, friends, and all who loved him. In this moment of grief, we stand in solidarity with them—sharing in their pain, and lifting them in prayer for comfort, healing, and strength. Violence has no place in our community, our nation, or our world. To take a human life is to defy the sacred dignity bestowed by God upon every person. We condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms and call for justice to prevail. As followers of Christ, we recommit ourselves to the way of peace, compassion, and reconciliation. In a world too often marked by hatred and division, may the light of Christ shine in the darkness. We invite our congregation and community to join us in prayer for Charlie Kirk's loved ones, our city, and our nation. May God grant peace to the grieving, wisdom to leaders, and hope to all who despair. In Christ’s love, The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry Church Recently, The Times of India reported a horrifying case in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, where a 32-year-old woman was raped repeatedly under the pretext of exorcism. The perpetrator claimed to be delivering her from evil spirits but instead exploited her vulnerability for his own wicked desires. This tragic event is not just a crime—it is a perversion of what true deliverance ministry is meant to be.
Deliverance Is Not Abuse Biblical deliverance is centered on Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. Scripture makes it clear that the power to set the captives free comes only through Him:
Warning Signs of a False Deliverance Minister Sadly, cases like the one in India remind us that not everyone claiming to do deliverance is truly sent by God. Here are red flags to watch for:
What happened in Rewa is a stark reminder that the enemy often disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). The devil will use impostors to discredit the true ministry of deliverance and to harm God’s people. As ministers, we must condemn such evil acts and stand for the purity of Christ’s work. As believers, we must be wise and discerning, testing the spirits to see whether they are from God (1 John 4:1). Deliverance is real. Freedom in Christ is real. But so are the dangers of wolves who prey on the vulnerable. Stay alert, stay in the Word, and keep your eyes on Jesus—the only true Deliverer.
