Can Forgiveness of Sins Free me From Demons?

The story of Mary Magdalene, as found in John Chapter 8, is the perfect example of how the forgiveness of sins can lead to deliverance from demons. In John chapter 8, the scribes and pharisees brought Mary Magdalene to Jesus to test Him. Jesus knowing that they were hypocrites,challenged them by reminding them that they too were sinful, and most likely were fornicators themselves (He who looks at a woman with lust, has committed adultery with her in his heart, Matthew 5:27-28). This is why we need Jesus. No matter how good we may think we are, we are still sinners that need a savior. Now we know that indeed Mary Magdalene was caught in adultery, a charge like this most likely required to be witnessed by 2 or 3 witnesses. If Jesus had answered incorrectly, He could have been arrested.

2 things are important in this story:

He without sin cast the first stone (John 8:7).
You Hypocrites, first remove the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck on your brother’s eye (Matthew 7:5).

Jesus pointed out their hypocrisy in this matter and showed His mercy, love, and compassion towards sinners. He will show you the same if you repent of your sin.

The Bible tells us that Mary Magdalene had seven demons (Luke 8:2), and was sick at the time she received her deliverance. It is fair to say that Mary was in fact committing adultery, and that somehow she opened a door to demonization or she was demonized and she committed adultery as a result of her demonization.

Regardless of when and how she was demonized, we can observe that through the cleansing of sins and through repentance we can receive deliverance (by the blood of the Lamb).

Repentance: Turning away from sin, asking for forgiveness and making a commitment not to commit a certain sin again (go and sin no more, John 8:11).

The Lord wants to free you from demons and make you whole. But you must make a commitment from the heart to stop sinning. If you are having difficulty staying away from sin, ask the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to overcome temptation.

The only condition Jesus gave this woman on keeping her deliverance was to stop sinning.

If you are struggling with demons, I recommend that you:

1st- Ask for forgiveness of your sins

2nd- Stop sinning
And
3rd- Go and sin no more.

Before you roll your eyes, this is for real, and it comes recommended by a Business School, Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario Canada. (And you thought those Canadians were such nice people.)

Professor Lindie Liang, who suggested this revenge witchcraft, based the academic study on the idea that people in a bad job situation want to lash out at the boss but can't without getting fired. So, why not take out their anger on an inanimate object, like a voodoo doll? Liang says, "We found a simple and harmless symbolic act of retaliation can make people feel like they're getting even and restoring their sense of fairness." No suggestion here of turning the other cheek, going the second mile, or a "soft answer" turning away "wrath" (Proverbs 15:1).

Voodoo isn't "harmless" and its power in places like Haiti isn't based on "symbolism." Black magic is real and those who practice such dark arts against others will quickly learn such evil has a boomerang effect. Cursing others is cursing yourself. Needling that bad boss will put a pin-prick of suffering in your own life. Proverbs 29:1 says, ''Don't plot evil against your neighbor" and Proverbs 25:1 says "he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." The path to success in life is in blessing not cursing.

I have good news for you! Your house can be cleansed. The process if ridding one's house of demonic spirits begins with careful assessment of the objects and literature you have allowed into your homes. It requires the consideration of generational curses or demons that have been passed down from one generation to another It also involves an assessment of who the previous tenants were and the kind of spiritual activities they were involved with. These materials, your generational line, and the previous owner's legal rights over the property can open the door to demonic poltergeist activity.

A good Exorcist needs to come to your home and inspect it. He should be looking for any object that may be considered occult. For example, you can have an idol in your home and not even know it. An interview should be completed to determine if the current owner has given a demonic entity a legal right to haunt a dwelling. Sinful behavior can open a door to the demonic in your home. Remember! A demon cannot be in a property it does not have legal right to be in.

Hierarchy of Demons

The hierarchy of the demonic world. When we read the scriptures Paul tell us:

Ephesians 6:12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

But many people don’t understand this hierarchy. So I will explain it in a simple way:

Principalities = Refers to region. Princes are over these regions. We read about them in the Book of Daniel 10.

Powers= This refers to the demonic powers. A systemized and organized system of power.

Rulers of darkness of this world = These are the demons.

Spiritual wickedness in high places = These are ranked demons. Not all demons are the same. Some are higher in rank than others. Some are more powerful than others. These would include both Fallen Angels and Nephilim spirits.

Hopefully this gives you a better understanding of what Paul was talking about when you read Ephesians 6:12

Irish Priest Calls for Backup Due to Increase Cases of Exorcism

Dublin, Ireland, Jan 24, 2018 / 11:08 pm (CNA).- An Irish priest and exorcist is asking the country's bishops for more support after noticing a dramatic increase in demonic activity in the country.
In a recent interview with The Irish Catholic, Fr. Pat Collins said he has been overwhelmed with the number of requests for exorcisms from the faithful in Ireland. In an open letter, he has urged the Irish bishops to train more priests to deal with the demand.
“(I)t’s only in recent years that the demand has risen exponentially,” Collins told The Irish Catholic.
Collins’ comments are on par with those of other exorcists throughout the world, including the International Association of Exorcists (IAE), a group of 400 Catholic leaders and priests, which has reported a dramatic increase in demonic activity in recent years.

In 2014, the IAE said the levels of demonic activity throughout the world had reached what they considered a “pastoral emergency.”
Collins said that he was “baffled” that the bishops haven’t trained more exorcists for Ireland, and added that anyone who doesn’t see the need for more exorcists is “out of touch with reality.”
“What I’m finding out desperately, is people who in their own minds believe – rightly or wrongly – that they’re afflicted by an evil spirit,” Collins said.
“I think in many cases they wrongly think it, but when they turn to the Church, the Church doesn’t know what to do with them and they refer them on either to a psychologist or to somebody that they’ve heard of that is interested in this form of ministry, and they do fall between the cracks and often are not helped,” he added.
A spokesperson for the bishops' conference at Maynooth told The Irish Catholic that each diocese is required to have a trained exorcist, who is able to discern the difference between signs of true demonic possession and signs of mental or psychological illness.
“Exorcisms are very rare and this office has not been made aware of any cases of ‘exorcism’ in Ireland in recent years,” the spokesperson said.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church emphasizes the importance of distinguishing between demonic activity and mental illness. From paragraph 1673: “Exorcism is directed at the expulsion of demons or to the liberation from demonic possession through the spiritual authority which Jesus entrusted to his Church. Illness, especially psychological illness, is a very different matter; treating this is the concern of medical science. Therefore, before an exorcism is performed, it is important to ascertain that one is dealing with the presence of the Evil One, and not an illness.”
In April 2015, the Congregation for the Clergy and the Sacerdos Institute hosted a seminar at Rome's Regina Apostolorum University, specifically aimed at training priests and lay people in spotting the differences between psychological problems and demonic possession.

The conference included interventions from a wide range of experts in the field of exorcism, including practicing exorcists, medical professionals, psychologists, lawyers, and theologians.
Recently updated rules of the Catholic rite of exorcism also state that a person who believes they are possessed must first rule out mental illness before seeking an exorcism. If the rite of exorcism is still needed, they may seek out a priest who has been trained and appointed as exorcist for his diocese by his bishop.
Collins noted that it often takes multiple meetings with a person seeking an exorcism to determine precisely what is afflicting them, but noted that whether it is true demonic activity or other problems, the requests have gone up dramatically in recent years.
Father Vincent Lampert, a Vatican-trained exorcist and a parish priest of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, has previously told CNA that the best defense against demonic possession is staying close to the sacraments.
In his open letter to the Irish bishops, Collins wrote: “...there has been increasing evidence of the malicious activity of the evil one.”
“I can’t judge from my own subjective experience because people see on the internet that I’m supposed to be an exorcist so I get an inordinate number of calls from people, and emails, all I can say is I have that reputation, but it’s only in recent years that the demand has risen exponentially,” he wrote.

Steal...Kill...Destroy

The will of a person is extremely important when dealing with demons. Demons want to break us. They want us to give up. They want us to feel like there's nothing you can do. If you believe this, they got you. Sadly, this is why many people commit suicide. Demons convince them that there's no other way to escape the hopelessness and torment. But that's not true. As long as there is life, there is hope. God has equipped us to fight the enemy. You don't have to be tormented. Don't let the devil win. The Bible tells us, resist the devil and he will flee (Jame 4:7). That verse is about your will to overcome temptation. When the devil makes you lose hope, resist him, and remind yourself that he is a liar. He came to steal,kill and destroy (John 10:10). And if you believe the devil and don't deal with him, he will kill you. It's never too late to get help. Deliverance and inner healing is a sure way to receive the help you need. There is hope. Get help today.

Failure to train Exorcist!

Irish priest claims that the Catholic Church has failed in training priest as exorcist. I believe this is true. There's a few reason why the Catholic Church is lacking exorcists:

1) Priest are afraid of the devil
2) Priest don't believe in the devil
3) There's no regional training programs available.
4) Priest don't know what they are doing

The Vatican does have a course that trains priest to be certified exorcist. A priest wanting to receive training must travel to Rome to take the course, which is an intense course indeed.

While certification programs do teach the ministry of Exorcism, many dioceses feel that the expenses of sending someone to Rome to learn how to do exorcism, doesn't justify the cost.

English Roman Ritual of Exorcism

For the first time the official Roman Ritual of Exorcism has been translated into English. I have an official one in Latin that I obtained when I received my training in Rome. However, since I am not a Catholic, I don't use it. The Book has a section that the laity can use to pray for deliverance, but the actual imperative ritual can only be done by a Bishop sanctioned Exorcist. This English ritual will be solely kept by Bishops and given to the exorcist in their diocese.
