There is a growing spiritual hunger in our generation. People are searching for answers. They are looking for freedom from torment, fear, addiction, oppression, nightmares, generational patterns, spiritual attacks, and inner bondage. Many do not know what to call it, but they know something is wrong. They know they need help.
The tragedy is that many of them are not finding that help in the Church. For too long, deliverance has been ignored, mocked, feared, or pushed to the margins of Christian ministry. In many churches, people are taught about salvation, forgiveness, and worship, but they are never taught how to confront spiritual bondage. They are told to pray harder, attend more services, or simply “move on,” while the deeper spiritual roots of their torment remain untouched. When the Church refuses to address spiritual oppression, people do not stop searching. They simply search somewhere else. That is one of the reasons so many people are turning to the occult. They go to psychics because they want discernment. They go to mediums because they want answers. They turn to tarot cards, witchcraft, crystals, energy healing, astrology, ancestral rituals, and New Age practices because they are desperate for spiritual help. Many are not trying to rebel against God at first. They are trying to understand what is happening to them. The problem is that the occult offers counterfeit solutions to real spiritual problems. Satan is very willing to give people supernatural experiences if it keeps them away from Jesus Christ. The enemy will offer information, feelings, manifestations, and temporary relief, but the end result is always deeper bondage. What begins as curiosity can become spiritual captivity. This is why the Church must recover the ministry of deliverance. Deliverance is not strange. It is biblical. Jesus cast out demons. The apostles cast out demons. The early Church understood that the gospel was not only a message of forgiveness, but also a demonstration of the kingdom of God overcoming the kingdom of darkness. Jesus said: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils.” Mark 16:17 Deliverance is not about glorifying demons. It is about glorifying Jesus Christ. It is not about fear. It is about freedom. It is not about chasing manifestations. It is about applying the victory of the cross to the lives of hurting people. When the Church avoids deliverance, people are left without biblical answers to spiritual problems. But when the Church embraces deliverance properly, with wisdom, love, Scripture, and the authority of Christ, people find what the occult could never give them: true freedom. The occult offers hidden knowledge. Jesus offers truth. The occult offers temporary power. Jesus gives authority. The occult creates bondage. Jesus breaks chains. The occult opens doors to darkness. Jesus shuts those doors and brings people into the light. The Church must stop being embarrassed by the ministry of Jesus. We cannot preach the Jesus who saves while ignoring the Jesus who delivers. We cannot claim to believe the Bible while neglecting the parts of Scripture that confront demons, curses, oppression, and spiritual warfare. At the same time, deliverance must be handled responsibly. Not everything is a demon. People may also need discipleship, counseling, medical care, inner healing, repentance, forgiveness, and pastoral support. Biblical deliverance does not replace wisdom; it works with wisdom. It does not create fear; it leads people into the peace and lordship of Jesus Christ. The answer to occultism is not silence. The answer is a Church filled with the Holy Spirit, grounded in Scripture, walking in love, and willing to minister freedom to the oppressed. People are looking for answers. The Church must be ready to give them the right ones. We must teach believers how to close spiritual doors. We must teach families how to pray. We must help people renounce occult involvement, break agreement with darkness, and surrender fully to Jesus Christ. We must make room for prayer, repentance, healing, and deliverance in our churches again. The world does not need a powerless Church trying to explain away spiritual realities. The world needs a Church that believes Jesus is still Lord over demons, curses, sickness, fear, trauma, and every work of darkness. Deliverance belongs in the Church because deliverance belongs to Jesus. If we do not give people biblical answers, the occult will gladly give them counterfeit ones. But if we embrace the full ministry of Christ, many who are searching in darkness will finally find freedom in the light. It is time for the Church to embrace deliverance again. Deliverance Ministry in Maryland and Washington DC
Many people today are searching online for answers to spiritual problems that traditional counseling or medical treatment cannot explain. Searches for “exorcist near me,” “deliverance ministry Maryland,” and “exorcist Washington DC” continue to increase as more individuals experience spiritual oppression. The Bible teaches clearly that spiritual warfare is real. Jesus regularly cast out demons during His ministry, and He gave believers authority to continue this work. Mark 16:17 says: "And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons." Because of this, many Christians across Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and the surrounding areas are seeking biblical deliverance ministry to find freedom from spiritual attacks. What Is Deliverance Ministry? Deliverance ministry is the biblical practice of helping individuals break free from demonic oppression, spiritual bondage, and generational curses through the authority of Jesus Christ. During the ministry of Jesus, deliverance was a normal part of healing people who were suffering spiritually. Deliverance may involve:
Signs Someone May Need Deliverance Not every problem is spiritual, but certain symptoms can indicate demonic oppression. Many people who contact deliverance ministries report experiences such as: • Recurring demonic dreams • Sleep paralysis or night attacks • Hearing voices or intrusive thoughts • Sudden depression or fear without cause • Paranormal activity in the home • Violent reactions to prayer or scripture • Spiritual spouse dreams • Oppression after involvement in witchcraft, tarot cards, or New Age practices The Bible warns that the enemy seeks to oppress people spiritually. 1 Peter 5:8 says: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." Why More People in DC and Maryland Are Seeking Deliverance Many churches today avoid the topic of spiritual warfare, leaving people searching for help elsewhere. As a result, more individuals are turning to trained deliverance ministers who understand how to address spiritual oppression biblically. At the same time, the rise of occult practices, witchcraft, spirit guides, tarot readings, and New Age spirituality has opened spiritual doors for many people. When these doors are opened, spiritual oppression can occur. Deliverance ministry helps people close those doors and reclaim their freedom through the power of Jesus Christ. John 8:36 "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." The Iran War: A Reflection of an Unseen Spiritual Battle in the Second Heaven
The world watches in shock as war erupts between Iran, the United States, and Israel—a war that has massive geopolitical consequences, international alliances in flux, and global tensions rising. On February 28, 2026, joint attacks by Israeli and U.S. forces struck deep into Iran and reportedly killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, sparking widespread retaliation, missile strikes, and regional instability. The conflict’s effects are already spreading across the Middle East and shaking markets and governments around the world. But beyond the headlines and strategic analysis lies another layer… a spiritual conflict that Scripture hints at and intercessors have long sensed. 1. The Visible War Is Part of a Larger Unseen Battle Scripture tells us that the physical world is not all there is. Ephesians 6:12 reminds believers: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age…” (ESV) When entire nations erupt into violence, it is not just the frailty of human leadership or diplomacy that we see—it reflects spiritual forces at work. In Daniel’s visions, angelic beings contended with “the prince of Persia” and “the prince of Grecia,” revealing that heavenly realms are entangled with earthly affairs. The Apostle Paul didn’t speak metaphorically—he was naming real spiritual realities. 2. Persia’s Spiritual Identity in Scripture The name Persia appears repeatedly in biblical history:
3. The Spiritual Nature of the Conflict From a biblical perspective, what we are witnessing can be understood through several spiritual lenses: a. Principalities and Powers The conflict is more than missiles and movements—it is a principality resisting God’s kingdom. Paul points to spiritual hosts and powers that exert influence in nations. Ephesians 6 is not optional reading—it is the lens through which all conflict is ultimately understood. Believers have long prayed that the spiritual Prince of Persia—a strong principality referenced in Daniel—would be shattered or displaced. The spiritual interpretations emerging online and among prayer networks emphasize that what we see in Iran today may reflect such a displacement battle in heaven. b. Darkness Recoiling at Light When the forces of spiritual darkness are exposed, there is natural resistance. The gospel light awakens opposition (Acts 26:18). In Isaiah 60, the Lord promises that nations will come to His light—but darkness does not give way quietly. The current conflict could be seen as resistance to God’s purposes for Middle Eastern transformation. It is not that political players are unaware of God. It’s that spiritual powers hate His purposes and will lash out. 4. Why Persia Now? Why This War? Several spiritual interpreters point to biblical prophecy and the idea that this era carries significant significance for Jerusalem and the nations:
5. The Displacement of the Spirit of Persia What if the war is signaling more than political aim? If the Scripture teaches us that spiritual principality over Persia is resisting God’s kingdom, then the weakening or displacement of this principality could coincide with:
6. How Believers Should Respond If this conflict is partly spiritual: Pray with Discernment Ask God to expose hidden spiritual dynamics and release His truth into the darkness. Meditate on Scripture Remember that no principality can withstand the finished work of Christ (Colossians 2:15). Walk in Peace Amid Chaos Earthly conflict is real and painful—but believers have a sure hope that transcends turmoil. The war in Iran is a tragedy with geopolitical, human, and national consequences. But from a biblical perspective, it also reflects a deeper spiritual battle in the heavenly realms—with Persia’s spiritual identity being confronted by the kingdom of God. Rather than seeing only brutality and politics, Christians can view this moment as a call to prayer, spiritual clarity, and divine purpose—believing that no physical conflict can ultimately thwart God’s eternal plan. You gave your life to Christ. You said the prayer. You felt that weight lift off your shoulders. But something still feels off. Maybe you're still battling the same temptations. Maybe the same patterns keep showing up. Maybe you accepted Jesus, but the "old you" keeps knocking at the door. Here's the truth most churches won't tell you: salvation is the doorway, but deliverance clears the house. When you become a new believer, you receive a new spirit. But your soul, your mind, will, and emotions, still carries the baggage from your old life. Generational curses, past trauma, occult involvement, and deep-rooted sin patterns don't just disappear because you prayed a prayer. They need to be driven out. Salvation vs. Deliverance: Understanding the DifferenceMany new believers get confused here. They think salvation covers everything. It doesn't. Salvation deals with your spirit. The moment you accept Christ, your spirit is made new. You are born again. Your eternal destination is secured. Deliverance deals with your soul and body. This is where the enemy has built strongholds over the years, sometimes over generations. These areas need cleansing. They need liberation. Think of it this way: when you buy an old house, you get the deed immediately. That house is legally yours. But the previous owner's junk is still inside. Old furniture. Trash. Maybe even unwanted guests who refuse to leave. You own the house. But you still need to clean it out. That's exactly what deliverance ministry does for the new believer.
The Baggage New Believers CarryEvery person comes to Christ with a history. Nobody arrives at the cross with a clean slate. Here's what most new believers are unknowingly carrying: 1. Generational CursesYour family line matters in the spiritual realm. Iniquities pass down through bloodlines. Patterns of addiction, poverty, divorce, mental illness, and premature death don't happen by accident. They're often the fruit of curses operating through generations. When you get saved, you receive the authority to break these curses. But if you don't know they exist, you won't use that authority. Deliverance ministry identifies and breaks these generational patterns. 2. Occult InvolvementThis is more common than you think. Maybe you played with Ouija boards as a kid. Maybe you visited a psychic or had your palm read. Maybe you practiced yoga, meditation, or got involved in New Age spirituality before coming to Christ. Every one of these activities opens spiritual doors. Doors that demons use to gain legal access to your life. Deliverance ministry closes those doors permanently. 3. Trauma and Soul WoundsAbuse. Abandonment. Rejection. Betrayal. These experiences leave deep wounds in the soul. And demons attach themselves to wounds. Unforgiveness is one of the biggest entry points. When you hold onto bitterness from past hurts, you give the enemy legal ground to operate. Deliverance addresses these root issues and brings genuine healing. 4. Sexual Sin and Soul TiesSexual encounters create soul ties. Every person you've been intimate with outside of marriage, there's a spiritual connection that remains. These ungodly soul ties need to be broken. Pornography, adultery, fornication, and sexual perversion all create open doors for spirits of lust, perversion, and shame. New believers often struggle in this area because these ties were never properly severed.
Why Churches Skip This StepHere's the uncomfortable reality: most churches don't practice deliverance ministry. They preach salvation. They offer counseling. They run programs. But when it comes to actually casting out demons and breaking curses? Silence. Some pastors don't believe in it. Others are afraid of it. Many simply weren't trained in it. But Jesus was clear. In Mark 16:17, He said that believers would "cast out demons" as a sign that follows them. Deliverance wasn't optional in the early church, it was standard. The new believer deserves more than a welcome packet and a membership class. They deserve to be set free from everything the enemy attached to them before they knew Christ. What Happens During Deliverance MinistryIf you've never experienced deliverance, here's what to expect: 1. Interview and Assessment A trained deliverance minister will talk with you about your history. Family patterns. Past sins. Trauma. Occult involvement. This helps identify where the enemy has gained access. 2. Renunciation You'll verbally renounce every sin, curse, and demonic covenant from your past. This is you using your authority as a believer to cancel the enemy's legal rights. 3. Breaking of Curses and Soul Ties The minister will lead you through prayers that break generational curses, ungodly soul ties, and word curses spoken over your life. 4. Casting Out If demons are present, they'll be commanded to leave in Jesus' name. This can be dramatic or quiet, every session is different. But the result is the same: freedom. 5. Filling and Sealing After deliverance, you'll be prayed over to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The empty spaces where demons lived are now filled with God's presence.
The Fruit of Starting Your Walk With DeliveranceNew believers who go through deliverance ministry experience a different kind of Christian walk. Here's what changes:
Deliverance removes the resistance. It's like trying to run a race with weights tied to your ankles. Sure, you can move forward: but why struggle when you can run free? Addressing the SkepticsSome people say new believers shouldn't pursue deliverance right away. They argue you need to "grow in the Word" first before dealing with demonic issues. Here's the problem with that logic: the enemy doesn't wait for you to mature before attacking. New believers are often the most vulnerable. They're full of faith but lacking in knowledge. They don't know how to use their authority yet. Meanwhile, the demons that were attached to them before salvation are still there, fighting to maintain their position. Deliverance isn't something you earn. It's something you receive. Jesus paid for your freedom at the cross. You just need to collect what's already yours. Your breakthrough is one session away. Incubus Spirit: 7 Biblical Truths About Spiritual Spouses You Need to Know
If you're experiencing nighttime spiritual attacks, unexplained sexual encounters in your dreams, or persistent interference with your romantic relationships, you may be dealing with an incubus spirit or spiritual spouse. These demonic entities operate in the spiritual realm but create very real torment in people's lives. The incubus spirit bible reveals clear truths about these spiritual attacks that every believer needs to understand. Whether you're seeking deliverance for yourself or helping others break free from spiritual bondage, these seven biblical truths will equip you with the knowledge needed to fight back. Truth #1: Genesis 6 Establishes the Biblical FoundationThe sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. This Genesis 6 account provides the clearest biblical evidence that spiritual entities have engaged in sexual encounters with humans throughout history. These were not ordinary men, but spiritual beings who crossed the boundary between the spiritual and physical realms. The result was the Nephilim - a race of giants that demonstrated the devastating consequences when spiritual entities violate God's natural order. This passage establishes that:
The Genesis account serves as proof that incubus and succubus spirits are not modern myths but biblical realities with ancient origins. When people dismiss spiritual spouse attacks as imagination, they're ignoring clear scriptural precedent. Truth #2: Spiritual Spouses Are Demonic EntitiesSpiritual spouses are demons - not departed human souls, not neutral spirits, but fallen angels operating under Satan's kingdom. The incubus spirit bible reveals these entities as unclean spirits that seek to defile and destroy human lives. These demons masquerade as attractive partners, often appearing as:
Do not be deceived - regardless of how appealing they appear, these are demonic entities with one goal: your spiritual destruction. They operate with intelligence, personality, and specific assignments against your life. The spiritual realm contains hierarchies of demonic power. Spiritual spouse demons often work in coordinated attacks with other evil spirits to maximize their destructive impact on your relationships, emotions, and spiritual walk. Truth #3: They Destroy Earthly Relationships Through JealousySpiritual spouses are violently jealous of any earthly romantic relationship you attempt to form. This jealousy manifests through systematic destruction of your marriage prospects and existing relationships. Common manifestations include: In Dating and Courtship:
In Marriage:
The incubus spirit bible shows these demons view themselves as your true spouse and will fight aggressively to maintain their position. They consider human relationships as adultery against their claim on your life. Truth #4: Sexual Sin Opens Doors for Spiritual Spouse AttacksYour sexual choices create spiritual openings. The Bible clearly connects sexual immorality with demonic oppression, and spiritual spouse demons specifically target those who have engaged in sexual sin. Primary entry points include:
Each sexual encounter creates a soul tie - a spiritual bond that demons can exploit for access. Even past sexual relationships from years ago can provide ongoing legal ground for spiritual spouse demons to operate. The solution requires breaking soul ties through repentance, renunciation, and deliverance prayer. Simply stopping the behavior is not enough - the spiritual doors must be closed through proper spiritual warfare. Truth #5: They Operate Primarily During Sleep and DreamsSpiritual spouse demons attack during sleep when your conscious mind is inactive and your spirit is most vulnerable. The incubus spirit bible reveals these entities prefer nighttime operations because:
Common nighttime manifestations:
These are not normal dreams or sleep phenomena. When you consistently experience sexual encounters in dreams with the same spiritual entity, you are dealing with demonic attack that requires immediate spiritual intervention.
Truth #6: Jesus Christ Has Complete Authority Over These DemonsThe name of Jesus breaks every demonic assignment. Spiritual spouse demons, despite their persistence and intelligence, must bow to the authority of Christ. The incubus spirit bible demonstrates that Jesus has absolute power over all spiritual entities. Christ's authority manifests through:
Deliverance requires active faith in Christ's completed work. You cannot negotiate with spiritual spouse demons or gradually reduce their influence. Complete freedom comes only through total surrender to Jesus Christ and aggressive spiritual warfare in His name. Many people try therapy, medication, or self-help methods for spiritual spouse attacks. While these may provide temporary relief from symptoms, only biblical deliverance through Christ can permanently break demonic assignments and close spiritual doors. Truth #7: Your Body Belongs to God, Not Spiritual EntitiesYour body is the temple of the Holy Spirit - not a playground for demonic entities. The incubus spirit bible establishes that God has exclusive rights to your physical body and sexual expression. Scripture declares: "You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). God's design for sexuality:
When spiritual spouses claim ownership of your body, they are violating God's property. You have the right and responsibility to evict these demonic squatters through prayer, declaration, and spiritual warfare. Practical steps for consecration:
Breaking Free from Spiritual Spouse BondageIf you recognize these patterns in your life, immediate action is required. Spiritual spouse demons gain strength over time and will not leave voluntarily. Professional deliverance ministry provides the spiritual authority and experience needed for complete freedom. The Children's Bread Deliverance Ministry specializes in spiritual spouse deliverance and has witnessed countless victories over these demonic assignments. Don't suffer in silence or shame - biblical deliverance is available and effective. Contact us today to schedule your deliverance session and break free from spiritual spouse bondage permanently. Your freedom and future relationships depend on taking decisive action against these demonic attacks. Remember: You were created for freedom, not spiritual bondage. Through Christ's authority, every chain can be broken and every demonic assignment destroyed. When the Modern World Meets the Supernatural: How Our Ministry Responds to Real Spiritual Battles12/1/2025 When the Modern World Meets the Supernatural: How Our Ministry Responds to Real Spiritual Battles
By Pastor Miguel Bustillos – The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry In recent years, mainstream media has taken renewed interest in the rise of people reporting encounters with the supernatural. The BBC recently highlighted a church-trained deliverance minister who investigates claims of demonic activity — a reminder that even in our modern world, many are facing spiritual problems that cannot be explained by science or psychology alone. The truth is simple: spiritual warfare is real, and people are suffering. And this is exactly where our ministry steps in. A Growing Need for Deliverance in Today’s Society: Like the minister featured in the BBC article, I regularly receive messages from individuals who are experiencing:
Many come to us after doctors, therapists, and secular counseling fail to identify the root cause of their suffering. When the natural route fails, the spiritual cause must be addressed. Deliverance Ministry: A Biblical Solution to a Spiritual Problem: At The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry, we approach each case with prayer, discernment, and biblical authority. Our work is not sensational or dramatic — it is pastoral, structured, and centered on Jesus Christ. Here’s how we help: 1. Deliverance Sessions: We identify and break legal rights, command demons to leave, and minister healing through the power of the Holy Spirit. 2. Inner Healing: Many spiritual issues are rooted in trauma, soul wounds, emotional abuse, and long-term spiritual oppression. We address both the wound and the spirit attached to it. 3. Spiritual Counseling: People often need direction, clarity, and biblical guidance after years of confusion or fear. 4. Ministry Training & Education: Through our Deliverance Ministry School, we provide live online courses, self-deliverance material, and internships for those called to help others. This ensures accountability, biblical grounding, and proper training — much like the structured approach highlighted in the BBC article. Why This Work Matters: The BBC piece showed that even traditional churches acknowledge the need to confront the demonic. Demonic oppression is not a medieval myth — it is a current spiritual reality. Our ministry exists because:

Each year, thousands gather at the Defqon.1 Festival, a massive electronic dance event celebrated for its loud music, spectacular visuals, and elaborate stage designs. However, behind the flashing lights and rhythmic beats lies something far more spiritual and deeply concerning — the glorification of false gods and demonic imagery. As believers, we are warned in Scripture not to be deceived by appearances. What the world calls “art,” “culture,” or “entertainment” often carries hidden spiritual meanings that oppose God’s truth. The Bible says, “You shall have no other gods before Me” (Exodus 20:3). Yet, festivals like Defqon.1 openly glorify idols that resemble demonic entities and ancient pagan deities. The Stage: Altars to False Gods: At first glance, the stages of Defqon.1 may seem like creative art installations. But a closer look reveals massive statues resembling ancient gods or demonic warriors, surrounded by fire, smoke, and symbols of worship. The central figure often sits upon a throne, elevated above the crowd — just as ancient idols were placed on altars to be venerated. This is not accidental. The festival’s designers purposely use Aztec, Mayan, and Babylonian-inspired imagery, known for their associations with blood sacrifice and sun worship. The fire erupting from the stage, the synchronized chants, and the ecstatic dancing of the crowd mirror pagan rituals once performed to honor gods of fertility, war, and destruction. The prophet Jeremiah warned Israel against similar practices: “Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens... For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold...” — Jeremiah 10:2–4 The Music: Frequencies That Invite Spiritual Darkness: Music is a powerful spiritual instrument. Lucifer himself was created with musical instruments embedded within him (Ezekiel 28:13). Today, the enemy still uses sound to influence and manipulate souls. The relentless beats and hypnotic rhythms of the festival are designed to alter consciousness, opening participants to spiritual influence. When combined with flashing lights, chants, and collective euphoria, the event becomes a form of worship — not to God, but to spiritual forces that rebel against Him. The Apostle Paul warned us: “The things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.” — 1 Corinthians 10:20 The Spirit Behind the Festival: The spirit behind Defqon.1 is not one of joy or unity, as it claims, but one of rebellion. It promotes self-exaltation, sensuality, and loss of control, all of which are opposite to the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). Participants may not realize it, but they are entering into a counterfeit worship experience—one that mirrors the worship of God, but gives glory to the enemy. The use of idolic imagery, ritualistic fire, and trance-like music is no coincidence. It serves to desensitize the masses and normalize pagan worship under the guise of entertainment. This fulfills the prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4, which warns that in the last days many will turn away from truth and embrace lawlessness, worshiping what is not God. Spiritual Consequences: Participation in events that glorify idols can open spiritual doors. Many attendees leave such festivals feeling emotionally drained, spiritually oppressed, or even tormented, without realizing why. Exposure to demonic imagery and participation in false worship can invite spiritual attachments that hinder one’s relationship with God. Deliverance ministers often encounter individuals who have unknowingly come under demonic influence after attending occultic music festivals. These experiences can result in nightmares, anxiety, addiction, and other forms of spiritual bondage. The Lord calls His people to come out from among them: “Therefore, come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” — 2 Corinthians 6:17 The Call to Holiness: As followers of Jesus Christ, we must be vigilant. The world will continue to glorify what is evil and call it art. But the Word of God is clear: “What fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” — 2 Corinthians 6:14 Our role is not to condemn the people attending these events, but to pray for their deliverance and salvation. They are seeking fulfillment, but only Jesus Christ can truly satisfy the longing in their hearts. We must shine the light of truth in the midst of darkness and expose the spiritual deception of the enemy. Defqon.1 is more than just a music festival — it is a modern altar to false gods. What is presented as entertainment is in reality a global ritual of idolatry, promoting rebellion against God through art, music, and collective emotional worship. Let us remain steadfast in faith, discerning in spirit, and grounded in the Word of God. Remember the warning of Deuteronomy 12:30–31: “Be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.’ You must not worship the Lord your God in their way.” Written by: Pastor Miguel Bustillos Deliverance Minister & Exorcist The Children’s Bread Deliverance Ministry 📞 301-732-3451 | 🌐 www.deliverancexorcisms.com By Pastor Miguel Bustillos, Deliverance Minister and Exorcist
Website: www.deliverancexorcisms.com In today’s spiritual climate, it has become common to hear people say, “I see in the spirit,” or “I have a word from the Lord for you.” While God certainly gives prophetic insight and visions to His people, it’s important to recognize that not every spiritual word or vision comes from the Holy Spirit. The Bible warns us to test the spirits (1 John 4:1) because Satan himself can appear as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). False Discernment Can Open the Door to Demonic Influence When someone claims to see demons or give a word over your life, and they are not led by the Holy Spirit, they may actually be operating from a counterfeit spirit—whether knowingly or unknowingly. Receiving a word from someone operating in divination, witchcraft, or even the flesh can cause you to come into agreement with the enemy. This agreement can open spiritual doors, allowing oppression, confusion, fear, or false direction into your life. Spiritual Sight Must Be Tested by Fruit and Doctrine Jesus said, “You will know them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:16). Anyone who truly operates in the Holy Spirit will reflect the fruit of the Spirit: love, peace, patience, gentleness, and truth. If someone’s word stirs fear, pride, suspicion, or manipulation—red flags should go up. Furthermore, their message should always align with Scripture. The Holy Spirit never contradicts the Word of God. Some Are Operating in the Soul, Not the Spirit There are also those who are sincere but are seeing through the lens of their soul (mind, will, emotions) instead of the Spirit of God. They may be projecting their own opinions, traumas, or judgments onto others and calling it prophecy. This type of soul-led word can still be harmful, misleading, and spiritually damaging—especially if accepted without discernment. Guard Your Heart and Mind Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life.” You are responsible for what you allow into your spirit. Not everyone should be permitted to speak into your life. Ask the Holy Spirit for discernment. If someone gives you a word, take it to prayer. Ask the Lord: “Is this from You?” Test the Spirits and Stay Anchored in the Word In deliverance ministry, we often deal with people who unknowingly opened spiritual doors by receiving false prophetic words. What begins as curiosity or trust can quickly lead to spiritual bondage. We must remain vigilant. The enemy is subtle, but the Holy Spirit is faithful to lead us into all truth. Not every spirit is from God. Test the spirits. Know the Word. Stay rooted in Christ. Pastor Miguel Bustillos
Website: www.deliverancexorcisms.com In deliverance ministry, one of the most misunderstood aspects is the connection between sickness and demonic activity. Not all sickness is demonic, but there are times when an illness may have a spiritual root. As ministers of deliverance, it is crucial to have spiritual discernment, guided by the Holy Spirit, to identify when a sickness is caused by demonic influence and to know how to respond biblically. What is Demonic Sickness? Demonic sickness refers to physical or mental ailments that are caused or intensified by demonic spirits. These spirits can enter through open doors such as sin, trauma, generational curses, occult involvement, unforgiveness, and more. The Bible clearly shows that spirits can afflict the body: "And behold, there was a woman who had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself... Jesus said, 'Woman, you are freed from your disability.'" (Luke 13:11-12, ESV) In this passage, the woman was not just physically ill—she had a spirit of infirmity. Jesus did not prescribe medication; He cast out the spirit. How to Identify Demonic Sickness: While only the Holy Spirit can give full revelation, here are some signs and patterns that may indicate a demonic root to a sickness: 1. Incurable or Mysterious Illness: When medical professionals cannot diagnose or treat a condition effectively despite numerous tests and interventions, it may be spiritual. 2. Sudden Onset Without Natural Cause: If an illness appears out of nowhere with no logical explanation—especially after a traumatic event or occult exposure—it could be spiritual. 3. Cycles and Patterns: Sicknesses that repeat in cycles or run in the family (generational curses) may be rooted in demonic activity. 4. Symptoms That Manifest During Prayer or Worship: If symptoms worsen or manifest during worship, prayer, or reading Scripture, it's a sign the sickness may be spiritual in nature. 5. Nighttime Affliction: Spiritual attacks that occur during sleep—choking, heaviness, paralysis, pain—are common signs of spiritual affliction. 6. Accompanying Demonic Manifestations: If the sick person also experiences demonic dreams, voices, thoughts of suicide, fear, or torment, this suggests a deeper spiritual issue. What to Do if You Suspect Demonic Sickness1. Pray for Discernment: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the root cause. Not every sickness is demonic—some are physical or emotional—but the Lord reveals truth to those who ask. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God..." (James 1:5) 2. Lead in Repentance: If sin or disobedience has opened a door, lead the person in repentance and renunciation. Confession breaks legal rights demons may have. "Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed." (James 5:16) 3. Command the Spirit to Leave: With the authority of Christ, command the spirit of infirmity to leave in Jesus' name. "In my name they will cast out demons..." (Mark 16:17) 4. Close the Doors: Teach the person to close all doors to the enemy—cutting ties with the occult, forgiving others, rejecting fear, and renewing the mind with the Word. 5. Maintain the Deliverance: Healing must be maintained through faith, obedience, and spiritual discipline. Encourage daily prayer, Scripture reading, and accountability. "Go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." (John 5:14) Final Thoughts: Demonic sickness is real, and Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). As deliverance ministers, we are called to continue His work. Discernment, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit are essential tools in identifying and addressing these hidden afflictions. Never fear the enemy—Christ has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Let us walk in power, love, and boldness as we set the captives free in Jesus' name. The Children's' Bread Deliverance Minsitry website: www.deliverancexorcisms.com Pastor Zachary Kibet Rotich of Bethel for Jesus Ministry International in Bomet County, Kenya, has been charged with assault following the emergence of a viral video depicting him allegedly flogging congregants, primarily women, in purported exorcism rituals. After evading authorities, Pastor Rotich surrendered to Chebunyo Police Station and was subsequently arraigned before Resident Magistrate Mbethi Michuki. He pleaded not guilty to assaulting Mercy Cherotich in Kapkimolwo Village, Itembe location, and has been remanded in police custody for seven days pending further investigations. The video also shows church members allegedly burning a woman over a fire in an attempt to exorcise demons, sparking public outrage and leading to increased scrutiny of the church's practices. Established in 2015, Bethel for Jesus Ministry International reportedly altered its doctrines in 2023, with leaders claiming enhanced powers to cast out demons. Female congregants are required to wear white headscarves and long dresses during services held on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Performing exorcisms without proper training poses significant dangers, including the potential for physical and psychological harm to individuals undergoing such rituals. Untrained practitioners may misinterpret mental health issues as demonic possession, leading to inappropriate and harmful interventions. The Catholic Church, for instance, mandates that exorcisms be performed only by trained clergy who adhere to established protocols, ensuring that individuals receive appropriate care and protection. This incident underscores the critical need for oversight and regulation of religious practices to prevent abuse and protect vulnerable individuals from harmful, untrained interventions. |
