![]() Why Did the Apostles in Jerusalem Confront Paul About the Law of Moses? By Pastor Miguel Bustillos website: www.deliverancexorcisms.com When Paul returned to Jerusalem in Acts 21, he was met with concern from the Apostles and elders—not because they denied the New Covenant, but because they were trying to manage a delicate transition within the early Church. This moment raises an important question: Why were the Apostles, who believed in Christ and the New Covenant, still concerned about Paul’s relationship to the Law of Moses? 1. The Early Church Was in Transition: The Church was undergoing a major shift—from the Old Covenant, based on the Law of Moses, to the New Covenant, established through the blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 8:6–13). While the Apostles preached salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9), many Jewish believers still held tightly to their traditions. These believers accepted Jesus as the Messiah but continued to practice circumcision and temple rituals—not for salvation, but as part of their identity (Acts 21:20). 2. Rumors and the Need for Unity: Rumors spread that Paul was teaching Jews living among the Gentiles to abandon the Law of Moses entirely (Acts 21:21). This caused alarm among the leaders in Jerusalem. To prevent confusion and offense, they asked Paul to take part in a public purification ritual (Acts 21:23–24). Paul agreed—not because he believed these rituals were necessary for salvation, but because he wanted to maintain unity and prevent division. He wrote elsewhere, “To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews...” (1 Corinthians 9:20). 3. The Apostles Were Not Rejecting the New Covenant: The Apostles did not believe salvation came through the Law. This had already been settled in Acts 15 at the Jerusalem Council, where it was made clear that Gentiles were not obligated to keep the Law of Moses (Acts 15:10–11, 19–20). However, many Jewish believers still valued their customs and heritage, and the Apostles were working to shepherd them into deeper understanding. 4. A Lesson in Wisdom and Humility: Paul’s decision was a strategic act of humility. He was not compromising the Gospel—he was applying wisdom. Avoiding unnecessary offense in non-essential matters is part of the spiritual maturity required in leadership (Romans 14:1–6; 1 Corinthians 10:32–33). Final Thoughts: The confrontation in Acts 21 wasn’t about rejecting the New Covenant—it was about preserving unity and managing the growth of the Church during a time of cultural transformation. As ministers of deliverance and truth, we too must balance conviction with compassion, and doctrine with discernment. Pastor Miguel Bustillos
Website: www.deliverancexorcisms.com In deliverance ministry, one of the most misunderstood aspects is the connection between sickness and demonic activity. Not all sickness is demonic, but there are times when an illness may have a spiritual root. As ministers of deliverance, it is crucial to have spiritual discernment, guided by the Holy Spirit, to identify when a sickness is caused by demonic influence and to know how to respond biblically. What is Demonic Sickness? Demonic sickness refers to physical or mental ailments that are caused or intensified by demonic spirits. These spirits can enter through open doors such as sin, trauma, generational curses, occult involvement, unforgiveness, and more. The Bible clearly shows that spirits can afflict the body: "And behold, there was a woman who had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself... Jesus said, 'Woman, you are freed from your disability.'" (Luke 13:11-12, ESV) In this passage, the woman was not just physically ill—she had a spirit of infirmity. Jesus did not prescribe medication; He cast out the spirit. How to Identify Demonic Sickness: While only the Holy Spirit can give full revelation, here are some signs and patterns that may indicate a demonic root to a sickness: 1. Incurable or Mysterious Illness: When medical professionals cannot diagnose or treat a condition effectively despite numerous tests and interventions, it may be spiritual. 2. Sudden Onset Without Natural Cause: If an illness appears out of nowhere with no logical explanation—especially after a traumatic event or occult exposure—it could be spiritual. 3. Cycles and Patterns: Sicknesses that repeat in cycles or run in the family (generational curses) may be rooted in demonic activity. 4. Symptoms That Manifest During Prayer or Worship: If symptoms worsen or manifest during worship, prayer, or reading Scripture, it's a sign the sickness may be spiritual in nature. 5. Nighttime Affliction: Spiritual attacks that occur during sleep—choking, heaviness, paralysis, pain—are common signs of spiritual affliction. 6. Accompanying Demonic Manifestations: If the sick person also experiences demonic dreams, voices, thoughts of suicide, fear, or torment, this suggests a deeper spiritual issue. What to Do if You Suspect Demonic Sickness1. Pray for Discernment: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the root cause. Not every sickness is demonic—some are physical or emotional—but the Lord reveals truth to those who ask. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God..." (James 1:5) 2. Lead in Repentance: If sin or disobedience has opened a door, lead the person in repentance and renunciation. Confession breaks legal rights demons may have. "Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed." (James 5:16) 3. Command the Spirit to Leave: With the authority of Christ, command the spirit of infirmity to leave in Jesus' name. "In my name they will cast out demons..." (Mark 16:17) 4. Close the Doors: Teach the person to close all doors to the enemy—cutting ties with the occult, forgiving others, rejecting fear, and renewing the mind with the Word. 5. Maintain the Deliverance: Healing must be maintained through faith, obedience, and spiritual discipline. Encourage daily prayer, Scripture reading, and accountability. "Go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." (John 5:14) Final Thoughts: Demonic sickness is real, and Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). As deliverance ministers, we are called to continue His work. Discernment, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit are essential tools in identifying and addressing these hidden afflictions. Never fear the enemy—Christ has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Let us walk in power, love, and boldness as we set the captives free in Jesus' name. The Importance of Listening to the Direction of a Deliverance Minister to Maintain Your Deliverance3/14/2025 Pastor Miguel Bustillos
Deliverance Minister and Exorcist Website: www.deliverancexorcisms.com Deliverance is a powerful and transformative experience, freeing individuals from spiritual bondage and oppression. However, many people make the mistake of believing that once they have been set free, their battle is over. In reality, deliverance is just the beginning. Maintaining your freedom requires obedience, discipline, and the willingness to follow the guidance of a trained deliverance minister. Why You Must Follow Instructions from a Deliverance MinisterA seasoned deliverance minister has spent years studying spiritual warfare and has been trained in discerning the tactics of the enemy. Their guidance is not based on personal opinion but on biblical principles and experience in spiritual warfare. Here are a few key reasons why their direction is essential for maintaining your deliverance: 1. Spiritual Wisdom and DiscernmentDeliverance ministers are equipped with spiritual discernment that helps them recognize demonic tactics. They can identify potential areas of vulnerability that you might overlook. Ignoring their advice can open the door for the enemy to regain access to your life. 2. Post-Deliverance Instructions Protect You from RepossessionJesus warned in Matthew 12:43-45 that when an unclean spirit leaves a person, it seeks to return. If it finds the house (your soul) empty, swept clean, and unguarded, it brings back seven spirits worse than itself. Deliverance ministers provide post-deliverance instructions to ensure that your spiritual "house" is filled with the Word of God, prayer, and a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. 3. Avoiding Old Habits and Sinful LifestylesMany who receive deliverance fall back into old habits, believing they are strong enough to handle temptation on their own. A deliverance minister will help you establish new, godly habits to replace the destructive ones that gave demons a legal right to enter your life. 4. Establishing a Strong Prayer LifePrayer is a weapon that strengthens your spirit and keeps demonic influences at bay. Your deliverance minister may provide specific prayers or fasting recommendations to help fortify your spiritual life. Neglecting these instructions can leave you spiritually weak and vulnerable to renewed attacks. 5. Accountability and Spiritual CoveringDeliverance ministers act as spiritual shepherds who guide you through the process of healing and freedom. Having an accountability partner in your journey is crucial because the enemy will always attempt to isolate you and attack when you are spiritually weak. Common Mistakes That Lead to Losing Deliverance
If you have undergone deliverance, I encourage you to honor the process and listen carefully to your deliverance minister. Their counsel is not just helpful—it is essential to your spiritual survival. Are you struggling to maintain your deliverance? Need guidance on how to walk in lasting freedom? www.deliverancexorcisms.com Throughout history, societies have struggled with discerning and monitoring the influences of witches and spirits. Understanding this subject through historical context and spiritual discernment can equip modern believers to identify and respond effectively to spiritual warfare. Historical ContextHistorically, concerns about witches and spirits date back to ancient civilizations. For example, in biblical times, King Saul consulted the witch of Endor (1 Samuel 28), revealing an ancient awareness of witchcraft's real spiritual implications. Similarly, in medieval Europe, fears of witchcraft resulted in widespread panic, leading to inquisitions and trials such as those witnessed in Salem, Massachusetts, during the infamous Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Historically, people often tried to identify and monitor witches through questionable methods such as trials by ordeal or relying on superstition. While these methods are now rightfully seen as unjust and misguided, the underlying recognition of spiritual influence remains relevant. Biblical Perspective on MonitoringThe Bible emphasizes discernment and vigilance rather than fear-based superstition. Christians are encouraged to:

The Children's' Bread Deliverance Minsitry website: www.deliverancexorcisms.com Pastor Zachary Kibet Rotich of Bethel for Jesus Ministry International in Bomet County, Kenya, has been charged with assault following the emergence of a viral video depicting him allegedly flogging congregants, primarily women, in purported exorcism rituals. After evading authorities, Pastor Rotich surrendered to Chebunyo Police Station and was subsequently arraigned before Resident Magistrate Mbethi Michuki. He pleaded not guilty to assaulting Mercy Cherotich in Kapkimolwo Village, Itembe location, and has been remanded in police custody for seven days pending further investigations. The video also shows church members allegedly burning a woman over a fire in an attempt to exorcise demons, sparking public outrage and leading to increased scrutiny of the church's practices. Established in 2015, Bethel for Jesus Ministry International reportedly altered its doctrines in 2023, with leaders claiming enhanced powers to cast out demons. Female congregants are required to wear white headscarves and long dresses during services held on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Performing exorcisms without proper training poses significant dangers, including the potential for physical and psychological harm to individuals undergoing such rituals. Untrained practitioners may misinterpret mental health issues as demonic possession, leading to inappropriate and harmful interventions. The Catholic Church, for instance, mandates that exorcisms be performed only by trained clergy who adhere to established protocols, ensuring that individuals receive appropriate care and protection. This incident underscores the critical need for oversight and regulation of religious practices to prevent abuse and protect vulnerable individuals from harmful, untrained interventions. The Children's Bread Deliverance Ministry www.deliverancexorcisms.com In today's world, marked by chaos, addiction, and brokenness, the ministry of deliverance stands as a beacon of hope and restoration. Rooted in Scripture and exemplified by Jesus Christ, deliverance offers freedom to those oppressed by spiritual forces. Revivalist Isaiah Saldivar emphasizes that this ministry is not optional but a fundamental calling for all believers. A Biblical Mandate for Deliverance Saldivar asserts that deliverance was central to Jesus' mission and should be integral to Christian practice today. He references Mark 16:17, where Jesus declares, "These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues." This passage underscores the authority granted to believers over unclean spirits and the responsibility to expel them. Ignoring the reality of spiritual warfare leaves Christians vulnerable. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." Engaging in deliverance is essential to counteract these forces and protect our communities. The Rising Tide of Demonic Influence Modern culture has seen a surge in demonic activity, often disguised as entertainment or self-help. Saldivar points to the normalization of demonic influence through music, movies, and social media, leading individuals to unwittingly open doors to the enemy. Incidents of mass violence, addiction, and depression are viewed as manifestations of a deeper spiritual crisis. The urgency for the church to recognize and combat these influences has never been greater. Deliverance as a Tool for Restoration The essence of deliverance is liberation. Saldivar emphasizes that it's not about inducing guilt or focusing on demonic entities but about freeing individuals to experience the abundant life Jesus promised. John 10:10 states, "The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Through deliverance, countless people have been released from years of addiction, depression, and torment, showcasing the transformative power of Jesus. Equipping the Church for Battle A significant concern is the church's preparedness to address spiritual warfare. Saldivar laments that many congregations have shifted focus to self-help, neglecting the spiritual battles their members face. He advocates for a return to biblical teachings on deliverance, empowering believers to recognize and combat demonic influences effectively. In conclusion, the ministry of deliverance is a vital aspect of the Christian faith, offering freedom and restoration in a troubled world. By embracing this calling, believers can stand against the rising tide of darkness, bringing hope and healing to those in need. Throughout history, there have been accounts of malevolent spiritual entities known as incubus and succubus—demonic spirits believed to engage in sexual activity with humans, often during sleep. These spirits have been widely discussed in folklore, demonology, and Christian theology, with early Church Fathers such as St. Augustine of Hippo acknowledging the existence of such beings in his writings. As believers, it is crucial to recognize the dangers of these spirits and understand how to combat their influence through the power of Jesus Christ.
What Are Incubus and Succubus Spirits? The incubus (male demon) and succubus (female demon) are entities that seduce, oppress, and torment individuals, often appearing in dreams or during moments of vulnerability. Their goal is to drain spiritual strength, create demonic covenants, and lead people into sin. These encounters may manifest in the form of disturbing dreams, unnatural sexual urges, spiritual oppression, or even physical sensations. Biblical and Historical Accounts While the Bible does not explicitly mention "incubus" or "succubus" by name, it warns against demonic interactions, unclean spirits, and sexual perversions caused by the enemy. In Genesis 6:1-4, there is mention of the Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and human women, which some scholars believe relates to similar demonic encounters. The early Church also recorded reports of such spirits. St. Augustine, in The City of God (Book 15, Chapter 23), recounts widespread testimonies of "incubi" spirits preying upon women: "There is, too, a very general rumor, which many have verified by their own experience... that sylvans and fauns, who are commonly called 'incubi,' had often made wicked assaults upon women, and satisfied their lust upon them." Augustine, though cautious, acknowledged that these demonic encounters were too widespread to dismiss outright. His writings serve as historical documentation of spiritual attacks similar to what deliverance ministers witness today. Signs of Incubus and Succubus Attacks These spirits often operate in secrecy, attempting to deceive their victims into believing these experiences are natural. Common signs of their influence include:
How to Overcome These Spirits If you or someone you know is struggling with demonic oppression from incubus or succubus, the solution is deliverance through Jesus Christ. Here are biblical steps to break free: 1. Repent and Renounce All Sexual Sin Unrepented sin, including fornication, adultery, pornography, and sexual perversions, can create an open door for these spirits. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, "Flee from sexual immorality..." Confess your sins and break all past ungodly soul ties. 2. Break Any Demonic Covenants These spirits may attach themselves through generational curses, past occult involvement, or even witchcraft and ancestral ties. Renounce all past agreements, spoken words, or invitations that may have given them access. 3. Engage in Deliverance Prayers and Fasting Deliverance is necessary to expel these spirits. Pray in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding any spirit of incubus, succubus, or unclean sexual demon to leave. Matthew 17:21 teaches that some spirits "do not go out except by prayer and fasting." 4. Anoint Your Home and Body Spiritual warfare includes cleansing your environment. Anoint your home with blessed oil, play worship music, and keep an atmosphere filled with God’s presence. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world." 5. Stay Rooted in Holiness and Purity Walking in obedience to Christ ensures that these spirits do not return. James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Living a life of holiness through prayer, fasting, and studying God's Word builds spiritual protection. Final Thoughts Incubus and succubus spirits are real, and their goal is to defile, oppress, and destroy the spiritual lives of believers. However, through the power of Jesus Christ, deliverance is possible. If you are experiencing spiritual attacks, seek help through prayer, deliverance ministry, and spiritual counseling. Pastor Miguel Bustillos, Exorcist www.deliverancexorcisms.com Depression is a condition that affects millions worldwide. While modern psychology attributes it to chemical imbalances, trauma, and life circumstances, the Bible teaches that spiritual forces can also play a role in causing deep sorrow, hopelessness, and despair. In deliverance ministry, we recognize that certain demonic spirits actively work to oppress individuals, leading them into a state of depression. Spiritual Roots of Depression: The Bible makes it clear that there is a battle between light and darkness, and that Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). One of the ways he accomplishes this is through mental and emotional oppression. The enemy desires to keep people bound in sadness and despair, separating them from God’s joy and peace. Several demonic spirits are often associated with depression, including:
Here are some key steps to freedom:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18 If you need deliverance, seek a trusted deliverance minister who can help break the spiritual strongholds of depression in your life. www.pastormiguel.com In spiritual warfare, one of Satan’s primary tactics is attacking the human body. The Bible reveals that Satan seeks to afflict people physically, often using sickness, oppression, and afflictions to hinder God’s people. As believers, we must recognize these attacks and use the authority given to us in Christ to overcome them. 1. Satan Brings Sickness and Disease: Scripture shows us that Satan has the power to afflict the human body with sickness and disease. In Luke 13:11-13, Jesus healed a woman who had been bound by "a spirit of infirmity" for eighteen years. He declared, "Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?" (Luke 13:16). Similarly, Job 2:7 states, "So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head." This passage confirms that Satan can bring physical suffering upon individuals, but God remains sovereign over all things. Recognizing the Signs of Demonic Affliction:
2. Demonic Oppression and Fatigue: Satan seeks to wear down the saints (Daniel 7:25). He does this by bringing fatigue, stress, and weakness to hinder believers from fulfilling their calling. Many people under demonic oppression experience:
3. Attacks on the Mind that Affect the Body: Many physical afflictions stem from spiritual attacks on the mind. The enemy uses fear, anxiety, and depression to create physical symptoms such as headaches, digestive issues, and heart problems. Proverbs 17:22 states, "A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones." When Satan instills hopelessness and despair, the body suffers the consequences. Common Mental and Emotional Attacks That Affect the Body:
4. Possession and Unclean Spirits Affecting the Body: In cases of full-blown demonic possession, demons take control of an individual's body, causing seizures, self-harm, or supernatural strength. In Mark 5:1-5, the demonized man in the Gadarenes was driven by unclean spirits to cut himself and live among the tombs. While not every sickness is caused by demonic activity, those suffering from oppression should seek discernment through the Holy Spirit to determine whether deliverance is needed. 5. Overcoming Satan’s Attacks on the Body1. Use the Authority of Jesus Christ: Jesus gave His disciples authority over sickness and demons: "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues... they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 16:17-18). Believers must walk in this authority to break Satan’s attacks. 2. Cover Yourself with Prayer and Fasting: Fasting and prayer strengthen the believer against spiritual attacks. In Matthew 17:21, Jesus said, "This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." If you are experiencing demonic attacks on your body, consider a period of fasting to break strongholds. 3. Speak the Word of God Over Your Body: God’s Word is a weapon against the enemy. Declare scriptures like:
4. Seek Deliverance Ministry: If the attacks persist, seeking deliverance from experienced ministers can help break the chains of demonic oppression. Many illnesses and afflictions have spiritual roots that require spiritual solutions. Satan attacks the body in many ways, from sickness and fatigue to mental distress and demonic oppression. However, Jesus has given us victory over the enemy through His sacrifice on the cross. By using the power of the Word, prayer, fasting, and deliverance, believers can break these attacks and walk in divine health and freedom. If you or someone you know is experiencing spiritual attacks on the body, do not hesitate to seek prayer and deliverance. God desires His people to live in wholeness, free from the afflictions of the enemy. |
