Are you Cursed? Read to find out!

Are you under a curse? You may be and not even know it.

What is a curse?
A curse is intended to invoke a supernatural power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something.

How can I be cursed?
1) Generational curses (curses that are in your bloodline). These are often identified by sinful patterns in families.(Exodus 20:5)
2) Habitual Sins (disobedience to God) (2 Timothy 2:26)
3) Witchcraft (some one cast spells or curses against you)
4) Cursed objects in your home (Joshua 7).
5) Dealing with the occult, including checking your horoscope, tarot card reading, and Ouija board (Leviticus 19:31).
6) Word curses (could be from your parents. ie..."You are a good for nothing." (James 3:10).

How can I know if I am under a curse?

1) Analyze your life for patterns? Satan always leaves clues.
2) Did someone tell you they cursed you?
3) Do you see evil patterns in your family line?
4) Are you a child of disobedience? The devil may be using you as puppet according to 2 Timothy 2:26.
5) Have someone cursed you verbally?
6) Did you bring an object into your home and things are now in disarray? We see this with antiques, although they be new items. We have dealt with curse objects based on designs and religious connotation.
7) Are you attracted to the occult? It may be you have witchcraft in your family line. Visiting healers, shamans and Witch Doctors will defile you and open you up for demonization. In fact any form of divination, looking for forbidden knowledge and power.

What can I do to break these curses?

1) Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
2) Make sure you believe the right gospel. We don't go to heaven because we are good. We go to heaven because of what Jesus Christ did for us. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
3) Being a Christian does not except you from being cursed.
4) Curses are not done until you break them. Curses must be broken.
5) Stay in the Word.
6) Demons must be told to leave!

What will happen if I don't break the curses in my life?

We know that the devil has 3 intentions in the life of a believer. He wants to kill, steal and destroy.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”
Galatians 3:13

Verse 13 is written in the past tense, whereas Galatians 3:10 is written in the present tense:

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

If Jesus broke the curses, how is it those of whom Paul was referencing in the present tense could be under a curse? Verse 13 does say Jesus became the curse, but it doesn’t say He broke any curses. Moreover, I cannot find a single example of Jesus or the apostles breaking any curses, yet we read that Jesus issued many curses.

If Jesus did not break any curses why would anyone else?

The curse that Jesus redeemed us from is eternal damnation. He has also given us the authority to break curses (Matthew 18:18). God does not change. He still chastises His Children when they sin. If curses are done with...then why are we still in part suffering due to the sin of Adam and Eve? Look at families like the Kennedy’s. Google the curse of the Kennedy’s. Matthew 18:18 does not mention curses either explicitly or implicitly. Respectfully, you interjected that into the text—not Jesus. You added to what He said.

You believe in breaking curses, as is abundantly evident from your website. I asked this very simple question:

“If Jesus did not break any curses why would anyone else?”

You didn’t answer that question. Instead, you presented this question:

“If curses are done with...then why are we still in part suffering due to the sin of Adam and Eve?”

I never said that curses are “done with.” That is in fact the heart of my point. The curse that came upon Adam and Eve, and subsequently all mankind, is still 100% completely in effect, as is the curse of the law. The curse of the law is also 100% completely in effect. These curses were never broken.

I have no idea if you wish to continue this discussion but if you do it makes sense to decide if you can answer my question of: “If Jesus did not break any curses why would anyone else?”

Can you provide an example of any curse being broken in the Old or New Testaments?

Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God (Deut. 11:26-28)

There are a lot of spiritual things that were not written about in the Bible. Just because there’s no direct example that curses that where broken, does not mean they didn’t do it.

John 21:25

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen

When we confront spiritual malignant forces we know that breaking curses is an effective way to provide deliverance for people. Unless the curses are broken, they won’t leave. That’s a fact. Simply telling some demons to leave is not enough. Once the curses are broken, these people are totally delivered.

You are committing the logical fallacy of, Missing The Point. You are so committed to your position that you are not thinking through the subject. Now, I appreciate that you were honest in admitting there are not any curse breaking examples in Scripture.

You chafed at my insistence to consider the absence of curse breaking examples by insinuating I am attempting to argue from the negative. In other words, your point is:

The absence of curse breaking examples doesn’t prove we should not break them.

Stated more classically, Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. However, I dealt with this by including Galatians 3:10 in my argument which you did not address. I am not arguing only from the negative. Again,

This is Paul, referring to the curse in the present tense—it was not broken. Three sentences later Paul references the curse again. Does it seem likely he was discussing a different kind of curse in this singular discussion? Anyone trying to argue he was, has a hard row to hoe. Regardless, this verse argues to the positive that the curse was not broken. Therefore, we have not only negative evidence but also have positive evidence.

If, as you claim, we must break curses then we are part of a kingdom divided against itself. Jesus indicated if Satan were to cast out demons then it would be a kingdom divided against itself because demons belong in the domain of Satan. If we break curses, which are in the domain of the Kingdom of God—as you have made clear—then we are breaking God’s judgments. Curses are part of the Law of God. If you break a curse, you are breaking a judgement and there is not a hint of this language from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. God’s Judgements are holy, and there is not a single case in all of Scripture of anyone breaking any curses. God does not break His Word.

I have no idea what your point is, maybe that’s where the confusion lies. If you don’t believe in curses, why are you on my page? You know I do. Of your intent is to drive my into an argument it’s not going to happen. I’ve been doing this for way too long. I don’t think you are commenting here with good intentions. Obviously the ceremonial laws are done with, but the moral law still stands. Jesus said if you love me follow my commandments. There are penalties for breaking the moral law. Like I said, just because you can’t find examples of curse breaking doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. God allows repentance and often times that’s enough to break a curse. As a deliverance ministers breaking a curses is simply asking God to have mercy on the person and removing the curse. It is not I who breaks the curse, but God. I am just a tool leading the person into repentance. Blessings.

If anyone breaks ANY aspect of the Law, they are guilty of breaking the whole Law.

You are correct when you say breaking the Law brings a curse. The question is why, therefore, did Jesus not break the curse of the Law?

Brother, you should be troubled that you can’t answer this question.

Jesus didn’t break any curses to save us. Why are you trying to?

I keep confronting you with the same truth and you keep turning from what the Scripture says.

The reason I am on your page is to defend the Gospel. Breaking curses is not part of the Gospel—as you have already admitted several times.

The reason you don't know what my point is you don't understand the Gospel you are claiming to preach.

Salvation and breaking the law are two different things. I believe that we are no longer under the law in regards to salvation. Jesus fulfilled the law. When God looks at us He sees the righteousness of Christ. However, when we become born again we don’t immediately become perfect. There is the process of sanctification.

So when we placed our trust in Christ, we are no longer subject to the law. However, there are penalties in this earth for breaking those law. God still punishes us for breaking the moral law here on earth. Or do you think you can kill, steal, covet, cheat, not honor your father and mother and get away with it? What Jesus did for us is not a free license to sin.

I don’t mean any disrespect by pointing this out, but you are utilizing logical fallacies in your argumentation. Quite frankly I am surprised that a man of your education and stature would do so.

You said,

This is a red herring. Of course, they are two different things, but they are associated in that one is a necessity as a result of the other. Salvation is necessary because we break the law. So that was your first fallacy.

Your next fallacy is a blatant strawman:

“Or do you think you can kill, steal, covet, cheat, not honor your father and mother and get away with it? What Jesus did for us is not a free license to sin.”

You attempted to restructure my argument to suggest that I think we have a license to sin, and this is a distraction from clear points I have made. Very disappointing coming from someone like you. Can we engage in a higher resolution discussion? In other words, lets raise the discussion to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

Of course, we will not get away with sin. However, there was a price to pay for sin under the old contract and a price to pay under the new contract. Yes, there are two contracts. Under the first contract we were cursed for sin. Under the second, we are disciplined as children; children because we have been adopted as sons of God. Anyone seeking to break curses is illogically mixing the Old Covenant with the New Covenant. Illogically because no one broke curses under the Old Covenant. This practice is foreign to both covenants:

“These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.”
Galatians 4:24-26

“Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.”
Galatians 4:28-31

Those born according to the flesh are subject to God’s curses; those born by the power of the Spirit are not.

Anyone who seeks to avoid curses by not, ‘killing, stealing, coveting, cheating, not honoring their father and mother’ are seeking deliverance from curses according to the flesh and therefore are required to obey the whole law; as Paul made clear in Galatians 3:10. You are teaching the sons of the free woman they are subject to the penalties of Hagar. In other words, anyone who seeks to avoid the wrath of the law by obeying the law, must obey the whole law:

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.”

Anyone who teaches we are cursed for disobeying the law, is fallen from grace. So according to your teaching it is:

‘Sin, curse, break. Sin, curse, break. Sin, curse, break…’

And so on.

“Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Hebrews 10:9-10

“once for all”

Not sin, curse, break, repeat. In fact, the curse was not broken.

Dr. Bustillos, you never answered this question I asked in an earlier post:

“Can you provide an example of any curse being broken in the Old or New Testaments?”

Jesus did not break any curses. Why, then, do you spread the false teaching that anyone else should? You are teaching people to do something Jesus never did. Perhaps you should take caution. If you cannot find an example of any curse being broken in the Old or New Testaments, then that is proof in and of itself that you are spreading false doctrine. I’m not judging you, but you need to spend some time in the Word and prayer. This is no light thing.

If you cannot find and example of any curses being broken, then you need to figure out why.
